The Shanghai Hongqiao Central Business District (CBD) has announced that it will offer generous housing subsidies to elite-level professionals to help attract top talent to work in the zone in western Shanghai.
Those who meet the requirements set by the Hongqiao CBD Administrative Committee will be able to apply to live in one of two government-owned housing complexes involved in the initiative.
One of the two developments, named Xuhui Apartment, is located at No. 1799 Shen'gui Road. It has 112 apartments in three buildings that cover a combined area of more than 6,000 square meters.
Each apartment, either 40 or 60 square meters in size, contains one dining room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, and is equipped with all the expected home appliances and an internet connection.
The other complex, named Lexianju Apartment, is located on Beizhai Road. The modern building is orange in color with a collection of multicolored statues in the front courtyard, to create a vibrant and livable environment for young people working in Hongqiao CBD.
