More airlines are included in the platform of self-service baggage check-in and security check

Five airlines have set up self-service baggage drop-offs at Hongqiao airport, namely Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Juneyao Airlines.

Passengers of China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, and China Southern Airlines who have checked in online can go through the security check with their IDs at the No 2 terminal just 45 minutes before their flight takes off without a boarding pass if they do not need to check their baggage.

Updated flight display screen

The airport has updated the 168 sets of flight display screens at the No 2 terminal, increasing their size from 37 to 42 inches.

The latest optical displays are used to make the displayed information more clear and passengers can learn about the reasons for flight delays from the displays at departure gates.

Special passengers can enjoy charitable service

Passengers over 70 or who have difficulty walking can be escorted to the departure gate for free by the airports' workers after they pass the security check.

Baby care rooms are available

In order to give more care to babies and their mothers, the airport has established 42 baby care rooms at the airport's No 2 terminal, equipped with user-friendly facilities, such as baby bottle warmers, wet towel warmers, and smart water purifiers and fountains.
