A discussion on the development of the Qianwan International Talent Community was recently held at the community service center, and more than 20 foreign residents attended the meeting.
Statistics show that Huacao town, where the community is located, is home to 4,389 foreign residents from 76 countries and regions.
During the event, a community worker briefed the attendees on the development plan of the Qianwan Area of Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District, and the foreign residents gave many suggestions.
For example, they hope that the community can offer services such as visa applications and renewals, pet registrations, driving license applications and medical treatment.
They also expect that a bilingual platform can be set up in the community for foreign residents to acquire the latest information.
Local officials said that Huacao town will take these ideas into consideration and continue to optimize the community's public service system and enhance people's quality of life.
