The first Shanghai Hongqiao Flower Valley Tourism and Shopping Festival kicked off in Yangjiazhuang village of Huaxin town in the city's Qingpu district on April 28. Running until May 5, it will create immersive experiences for visitors with a variety of flower-related activities featuring art, creative fairs, and parties.
With the theme of "Meeting Hongqiao Flower Valley and Enjoying Colorful Life", the festival is holding 12 themed activities across three sections: Flower Valley Fair, Flower Valley Station, and Flower Valley Shopping.
The event was organized by Shanghai Hongqiao Flower Valley Ecological Technology Co Ltd under the guidance of the Huaxin local government, the Qingpu agriculture committee, the Qingpu commerce committee as well as the Qingpu culture and tourism bureau.
On the large lawn on the north side of the flower valley, visitors can enjoy art performances and field shows, take part in tea parties, as well as watch exhibitions on ecological fruits and vegetables.
Another highlight of the festival is Flower Valley Station, a glass greenhouse where various new energy gardening equipment and tools are being displayed.
There are also a wide variety of popular green plants, potted plants, flowers, as well as ecological fruits and vegetables available during the festival.
