Panlong Tiandi, a new landmark project highlighting cultural tourism and urban development, opened to the public in Qingpu district of Shanghai on April 29.
Covering a total area of more than 500,000 square meters, Panlong Tiandi combines the region's historical heritage with modern art and showcases the unique culture of Jiangnan, which refers to regions south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
The project consists of nearly 230,000 sq m in public green space, with a commercial area covering about 50,000 sq m and residential areas spanning about 250,000 sq m.
Centering on characteristic scenes, such as ancient architecture, the Jiangnan water system, Panlong Nunnery, as well as waterfront merchants and hotels, Panlong Tiandi strives to create a Jiangnan-style leisure area that can boost creative lifestyle consumption and meet the diverse needs of consumers.
The commercial area of Panlong Tiandi is composed of Anshi, Nanshi, Beishi, and Shizi streets. It is home to many brands in such fields as cultural experiences, outdoor sports, Chinese and foreign cuisines, parent-child leisure, and home design, providing diverse consumption scenarios for different age groups to experience the new charm of this old town.
To date, the area has attracted more than 100 merchants, including many first stores in China and special concept stores.
Panlong Tiandi gives full play to the geographic advantage of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District, promotes high-quality urban development, as well as offers a new lifestyle for residents in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region.
By renovating the ancient town, Panlong Tiandi injects artistic, cultural, and commercial elements into the living environment of residents, presenting a concept integrating culture, nature, and future lifestyles, while greatly expanding the influence of Hongqiao.
