The Ministry of Commerce and the Shanghai municipal government signed a cooperation agreement recently to jointly promote the high-quality development of commerce.
By strengthening ties, sharing resources, and complementing each other's advantages for better growth, the two sides will ramp up efforts to serve national strategies, build the new development pattern, as well as accelerate the high-quality development of commerce.
They will focus on such issues as promoting the high-level opening-up of the China (Shanghai) Free Trade Zone, advancing socialist modernization in Pudong, developing the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District as a new platform for trade, hosting the China International Import Expo, constructing a pilot zone for e-commerce cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, bolstering the innovative development of service and digital trade, as well as stimulating consumption.
On the same day, the Ministry of Commerce and Fudan University signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement to build a big data laboratory concentrating on consumption.
Under the framework, both sides will tighten relations, as well as give full play to their respective roles in the fields of big data construction and consumer policy research.
They will conduct research on international consumer center cities, accelerate the construction of the digital government, build a big data system in the business field, as well as fuel the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy.
