A promotional event for prefabricated foods from Guangdong province was recently held in the West Hongqiao Area of Shanghai.
During the event, over 10 prefabricated food producers and platforms from Guangdong and Shanghai staged road shows, while the Global Exhibition and Trade Center for Prefabricated Food Brands was also launched.
"Developing the prefabricated food industry is a significant step for Qingpu district to fully promote agricultural modernization," said Zhang Yan, deputy chief of the district, where West Hongqiao Area is located.
According to Zhang, a large number of high-capacity international trading platforms has gathered in West Hongqiao Area, including the Hongqiao Oversea Trade Center and the United Nations' Asian procurement center.
"The settlement of the Global Exhibition and Trade Center for Prefabricated Food Brands is expected to help accelerate the development of Qingpu's prefabricated food industry," Zhang added.
The event also facilitated exchanges and cooperation between prefabricated food companies in Shanghai and Guangdong, which will promote rural vitalization and high-quality agricultural development in both regions.
Zhang stressed that the Qingpu administration will offer supporting policies and optimized services to help relevant companies develop in Shanghai and expand their businesses globally.
