The Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport saw a significant recovery of inbound and outbound trips during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, according to the airport's border inspection station.
From midnight on June 22 to 6 pm on June 24, the airport received over 22,800 inbound and outbound travelers on 140 cross-border flights.
China's Hong Kong, Macao, as well as Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia were among the most popular tourists destinations during the holiday, attracting about 48 percent of travelers setting off from Hongqiao airport.
