Construction of the LOOP Star Ring Center, the fourth-phase of the Zhihui Qianwan Industrial Park in Huacao town in the Qianwan area of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District, is in full swing.
Located adjacent to major landmarks such as Qianwan Park and Incity Mega, the project covers an area of some 51,000 square meters and has a floor space of approximately 230,000 square meters.
The center is a vital part of the Shanghai International NCC&E-Sports Center and has 13 buildings arranged in the shape of a diamond. The project, which will feature a high-end business complex featuring offices, commercial blocks, apartments and services, is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
The center will provide one-stop services for the esports and cultural creative enterprises and create a highland for the industrial development of esports, digitalization, headquarters economy, biomedicine, technological innovation and fintech.
Currently, more than 40 esports and cultural creative enterprises including leading Chinese esports club EDG and Chongqing Wolves have settled in the park.
"We believe that the Shanghai International NCC&E-Sports Center will gather more upstream and downstream esports enterprises, drive consumption and become a new trend for cultural tourism," said the person in charge of Chongqing Wolves esports club.
"The area not only provides our team members with space for training, but also helps them find talent apartments in the surrounding countryside, which is beneficial to the physical and mental health of the players and allows them to experience the unique charm of Huacao," he added.
The Zhihui Qianwan Industrial Park is a multifunctional modern park that integrates businesses, offices, R&D designs and enterprise incubation. To date, three phases of the park involving 100,000 square meters of factory buildings, supporting offices and high-standard warehouses has been completed.
