With the 6th China International Import Expo approaching, the Greenland Global Commodity Trading Hub, a permanent trading service platform for the China International Import Expo, has been busy preparing for the expo.

Since its opening in 2018, the trading hub has attracted 180 companies and organizations from 76 countries and regions, and opened 61 national pavilions that showcase more than 90,000 imported products like food and wine, digital home appliances, beauty care, clothing bags, furniture and home furnishing.

As an exhibitor organizer for the 6th CIIE, Greenland will leverage its overseas resource allocation and organize a group of outstanding overseas craftsmen to participate in the expo, said a representative of the company.

Since its establishment, the trading hub has become a spring board for many business people from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative to enter the Chinese market.

Frank Shankar Koirala, a Nepalese businessman, had set up a 16-square-meter booth in the Nepal Import Pavilion at the trading hub in 2020.

Koirala said he will introduce more cashmere products from Nepal and prepare new customized products for Chinese consumers at this year's CIIE.

A Pakistani businessman also started his CIIE journey from the trading hub. The Himalayan salt lamps he brought to the 3rd CIIE were a big hit with the crowds. The Pakistani said he will bring lamps made of camel leather to the 6th CIIE and hopes that more Chinese consumers will get to see Pakistan's non-woven fabrics at the CIIE.
