The 2023 Hongqiao International Central Business District Talent Development Conference was held on Sept 27 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
Co-hosted by Hongqiao International CBD and Minhang district, with support from Changning, Qingpu and Jiading districts, the event brought together leaders and representatives from enterprises and talented individuals. Hua Yuan, vice-mayor of Shanghai, attended the event.
During the conference, an agreement was signed between the Administrative Committee of Hongqiao International CBD and Minhang, Changning, Qingpu, and Jiading districts to establish the Hongqiao International CBD Talent Development Community.
The goal of the agreement is to foster collaboration, facilitate cross-district service sharing, and ensure the seamless connection between talent, policies, and services following the "1+4" working pattern.
Additionally, a directory of talent in high-demand industries within the Hongqiao International CBD was unveiled at the conference. This directory covers six key industrial fields and comprises 94 positions in high demand, spanning eight categories and a total of 45 professions.
Furthermore, a three-year plan for the construction of the Hongqiao Qianwan International Talent Community was unveiled during the conference. This plan aims to expedite the establishment of a model international talent community in the Qianwan area.
"Hongqiao International CBD is actively building a world-class talent development environment, continuously striving to attract top talent, fostering an innovative and talent-oriented cultural atmosphere, and creating a livable and business-friendly ecosystem that appeals to both local and global individuals," said Bao Bingzhang, deputy director of the Hongqiao International CBD Management Committee.
A talent recruitment fair took place simultaneously at the NECC in Shanghai. A total of 337 enterprises from Minhang, Changning, Qingpu, and Jiading districts collectively offered 1,525 job positions, with a total talent demand of 4,279 individuals.
