The sixth China International Import Expo will be held from Nov 5 to Nov 10 in Shanghai. A senior executive of Bayer AG, which has participated in the expo for six straight years, said the CIIE bridges China and the rest of the world, during an exclusive interview with China Daily.
"This is a really important event. It has been introduced to not only ensure that China is being presented as a great exporter, but also as an open market for imports. For Bayer, our goal is to make sure that we build bridges and that we partner across sometimes very difficult divides," said Matthias Berninger, executive vice-president of Public Affairs, Science, Sustainability & HSE at the company.
