Measures have been taken to create a more sustainable and visually pleasing environment around the core area of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in the Hongqiao International CBD.
One notable improvement is the construction of two lying steel gates on both sides of the North Hengjing area (Jianhong Road - Xihong Road). These gates will be closed during the CIIE to create a body of wate. Through the implementation of a water treatment process, the quality of the water in this section has been greatly enhanced.
Additionally, to further improve the water quality, numerous submerged and aquatic plants have been planted along the main section of the river. This not only improves the transparency and overall quality of the water but also adds to the beauty of the surroundings.
Furthermore, an area measuring 13,000 square meters in Xiaolaigang has been transformed and adorned with vibrant red and orange flowers. This enhancement contributes to the aesthetic appeal of the water environment, creating a stunning landscape ribbon.
