Shanghai is taking steps to enhance the "6+365" trading service platform to help more exhibits displayed at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) enter the Chinese market.
Located in the Minhang area of Shanghai's Hongqiao International CBD, the Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition and Trade Center, also known as Hongqiao Pinhui, has gathered over 6,000 brands and 80,000 types of goods from 108 countries and regions worldwide.
Hongqiao Pinhui is now showcasing products by 10 internationally renowned brands, including Honda, Harley, and BMW, that were displayed at this year's expo.
Enterprises in Hongqiao Pinhui benefit from trade facilitation policies regarding the conversion of exhibits to bonded display and trading goods, and cross-border e-commerce goods, which have been tailor-made for the expo by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and the State Administration for Market Regulation of China.
Relying on the Bonded Logistics Center (Type B) in Hongqiao Pinhui, products such as skincare items from South Korea and healthcare products from South Africa have been made available for sale in Hongqiao Pinhui through the conversion of exhibits to cross-border e-commerce goods after the 5th CIIE. This has played a significant role in helping high-quality products from countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative enter the Chinese market.
Construction of the Hongqiao Pinhui sub-center is currently progressing smoothly. Twenty-three sub-centers have already been established. This year alone saw the introduction of six new sub-centers.
