The Hongqiao International Innovation Medical Device Industrial Park in the Jiading area of the Hongqiao International Central Business District officially opened on Nov 8.
Spanning 70,000 square meters, the industrial park aims to provide comprehensive support and services for innovative medical device companies, promote the transformation of medical achievements, and facilitate the rapid development of startup medical device companies.
Shanghai Kindly Medical Instruments, the operator of the industrial park, provides various resources, including R&D, registration, quality systems, capital, marketing, and management, to support startup enterprises and foster their growth.
Liang Dongke, chairman and general manager of Shanghai Kindly Medical Instruments, said that the park's current occupancy rate is over 95 percent, and that its R&D pipeline covers seven major fields.
The industrial park will provide support and services to resident companies related to areas such as technical R&D, purification workshops, policy and capital docking, promote the rapid growth of start-up enterprises and create a platform for the transformation and incubation of innovative medical devices.
"The products we are developing now are all original. Here, we have the opportunity to collaborate with clinical doctors and become a platform for product transformation," said Li Xin, general manager of Shanghai Kindly Medical Instruments.
The industrial park is aiming to further enhance the functional platforms of the medical device industry, digital trade, and other sectors to contribute to the high-quality development of the regional economy.
