The first "Hongqiao Cup" Shanghai FIEs Pickleball Friendship Tournament officially kicked off at Hongqiao Sports Park on Nov 19.
Seventeen teams from foreign investment enterprises and institutions participated in the event.
The tournament featured events including men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. The team from the Shanghai Changning District East Hongqiao Development Office won the tournament while the teams from Luen Thai Group and Skechers took the second place. The teams from SMG Great Sports Radio and SAP took the third place.
Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of tennis, table tennis, and badminton.
UnionTech Group and Skechers are presently aiming to promote pickleball to more people around the world. Skechers has been actively promoting the sport in recent years by sponsoring pickleball events.
Skechers recently launched the Pickleball shoe VIPER COURT PRO during the 6th China International Import Expo with the aim of contributing to the development of the sport.
