Deals for 20 new key projects that will be set up in the Minhang area of the Hongqiao International Central Business District, also known as South Hongqiao, were signed on Jan 3.
One of the projects is a platform in South Hongqiao that will provide talent training and research to drive industrial upgrading in the Hongqiao hub area and promote the integrated high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta. This venture is between Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the administration committee of South Hongqiao.
Meanwhile, Changyi Biotechnology signed a deal for a project related to new energy facility, while Zhangjiagang Bonded Digital Technology signed a deal for a project related to the digital economy.
These projects will further enhance the level of industrial development, deepen the function of international trade, and enhance the level and radiation of functional platforms such as the Hongqiao Imported Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center, Hongqiao International Central Legal District, and Hongqiao International Business Talent Port.
The Hongqiao Training Center of the Shanghai Modern Service Industry Federation and the Yangtze River Delta Workstation of the China Intellectual Property Protection Alliance of Listed Companies were also unveiled at the signing ceremony.
The former will provide technical and skilled talent support for the high-quality development of the service industry in the business district, while the latter will provide professional and public welfare support and services such as intellectual property crisis management and legal dispute resolution for companies in the Yangtze River Delta region.
