The westward extension of Metro Line 17 is an important rail transit line within the Yangtze River Delta Integration Demonstration Zone. Extending from the existing Oriental Land Station to Xicen Station, it spans approximately 6.6 kilometers, strengthening the integration of the YRD and the central urban area of Shanghai.
Once completed, the westward extension of Metro Line 17 will greatly improve transportation convenience for the Huawei R&D Base and the Xicen Technology Innovation Center, as well as contribute to the development of the Hongqiao International Hub, support new city development, and promote social investment, fostering the high-quality integrated development of the YRD Integration Demonstration Zone.
