KPMG, one of the world's four major accounting firms, has officially settled in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District, unveiling its nearly 14,000-square-meter KAMPUS at the Hongqiao Vanke Center in late March.
The KAMPUS, or KPMG Campus, acts as a center for technological empowerment, a training ground for talents, and a global stage for business expansion.
Honson To, chairman of KPMG Asia-Pacific and China, said that KAMPUS is a "business card" for greater Hongqiao. It will continuously leverage its global resources and brand influence to attract more enterprises, thereby helping to build a new engine for regional economic growth.
"During this process, we learned that settling in Hongqiao is a win-win situation. For KPMG and for Hongqiao, we are able to obtain a very good base for office training and radiating into the Yangtze River Delta region. We also hope to contribute to a better business environment in Hongqiao," he added.
This year marks the third anniversary of the State Council's approval of the Overall Plan for the Construction of the Hongqiao International Open Hub. As the core of the Hongqiao International Open Hub, the Hongqiao International CBD has rapidly gathered advantageous industries over the past three years, and the effectiveness of its functional construction is evident, making it a strong and active growth pole for Shanghai's economic development.
