Representatives from Shanghai's international friendship cities visited the Greenland Global Commodity Trading Hub in Shanghai on March 13, on the invitation of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Shanghai People's Municipal Government. The visit was meant to enhance trade cooperation between Shanghai and its friendship cities.

During the tour, delegates explored the hub's bonded exhibition areas, cross-border e-commerce platforms, and national pavilions, gaining insight into its operations and supply chain strategies. The hub's diverse services and innovative business models were highly praised.

Xue Yingjie, the hub's general manager, highlighted its role in amplifying the China International Import Expo's (CIIE) effects and its ongoing development. Liu Guangyong, deputy director of Shanghai's foreign affairs office, emphasized the city's commitment to expanding openness and becoming a globally influential metropolis.

The Greenland hub, a key outcome of Shanghai's strong efforts in international trade, promotes the linkage of trade and industry. Liu encouraged representatives to explore further cooperation within the friendship city framework and learn about Shanghai's latest developments.

In discussions, participants focused on strengthening economic ties and overcoming trade challenges. They recognized the hub as vital for understanding the Chinese market and expanding their businesses. Merchants from the UK, Uzbekistan, and Nepal shared successful experiences with Greenland, expressing gratitude for the support received in expanding their presence in China.

Greenland Group has played a significant role in supporting CIIE, arranging for over 3,000 brands from more than 50 countries to participate and facilitating the entry of over 5,000 products into major domestic markets. The hub has attracted 180 companies from 76 countries, established 70 national pavilions and introduced over 20,000 CIIE products, becoming an important platform for amplifying CIIE's impact.
