Shanghai has been urged to strengthen its efforts to become a pacesetter for scientific and technological innovation and position itself at the forefront of artificial intelligence development and governance.
The municipality is focusing on transforming scientific and technological innovation into a key driver of high-quality development. Efforts are underway to cultivate new quality productive forces and promote economic growth.
Under this vision, Kong Fu'an, Party secretary of the administrative committee of Hongqiao International Central Business District, emphasized the need to deepen the district's role as a hub for scientific and technological innovation.
He highlighted the importance of integrating this focus with the district's other core functions, including its comprehensive transportation hub, convention and exhibition hosting capabilities, and thriving commerce and trade sectors.
Kong said that the district will promote new business formats and models in digital and service trade, accelerate the development of an international trade platform, and establish a pilot zone for enterprises looking to expand globally.
These efforts are expected to enhance the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region and contribute to high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.
