Over the recent Dragon Boat Festival holiday from May 31 to June 2, the Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport experienced a significant increase in activity, handling approximately 2,000 flights and accommodating 373,000 passengers.
In an effort to enhance the travel experience, Hongqiao Airport introduced multilingual guides along the entry routes, providing crucial information and support to global visitors.
Travelers were also introduced to the "Shanghai Pass", a multipurpose prepaid card designed to offer convenience across dining, transportation, shopping, and entertainment. This service aims to simplify the travel experience for international tourists, allowing them to explore the city with ease.
To celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival, Hongqiao Airport embraced the festive spirit by displaying holiday-themed posters on terminal screens and distributing traditional mugwort sachets to passengers. Additionally, interactive activities such as lacquer fan and sachet making were held, offering travelers a taste of local culture and warm holiday greetings.
