The Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center's international industrial collaboration platform recently helped start a new joint factory project.
Through the platform, Anhui Feiying Automotive Parts from China and Majesty New Energy Vehicle Parts Manufacturing from Ghana signed an agreement in Accra, Ghana, to build a manufacturing plant together.
This partnership aims to help develop Ghana's national car brand and foster its car industry.
In this way, the service center's "Hongqiao Model" now propels domestic industry clusters to work together to expand overseas and engage in global competition and cooperation.
The Hongqiao platform is helping by moving from small, individual projects to larger, industry-wide collaborations. It is participating in setting up rules and standards for the car industry in Ghana, which helps introduce Chinese technology there.
In this partnership, Anhui Feiying will provide technology, while local investors in Ghana will supply most of the money. They will support the production of "Shell" brand vehicles in Ghana, making them locally but selling them globally.

The Hongqiao platform also uses digital tools like a "Metaverse Pavilion" and blockchain to improve trade processes, making it easier and cheaper to do business.
The platform's approach is working well. By sharing Chinese car technology and adapting it for Ghana, it helps create jobs and supports the local economy. The Ghanaian government recognizes this effort as part of its economic development plan.
Anhui Feiying has grown from a local supplier in China to a key player in Africa's car industry, with plans to expand further. The Hongqiao platform connects Chinese businesses with resources overseas, helping them grow internationally and turning individual projects into larger, coordinated efforts.
