SolarSpace, a globally leading solar cell manufacturer, recently set up SolarSpace Shanghai, a wholly-owned subsidiary, as its trade headquarters in the Minhang area of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District (CBD).
The new headquarters has secured a contemporary 2,600-square-meter office space at The Gate in the CBD, injecting momentum into the area's new energy sector.
Established in 2011, SolarSpace is a prominent manufacturer of high-efficiency solar cells and modules, involved in research and development, production, and sales.
With a decade of exponential growth, the company has ascended as a frontrunner in the global new energy sector, fostering collaborations with over 1,000 partners and expanding its business footprint across various countries and regions, including China, France, Germany, and the United States.
In 2024, PVInfoLink data positioned SolarSpace as the second-largest global supplier of solar cells.
Aligned with the goals of peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality, the Hongqiao International CBD is expediting the growth of strategic emerging industries, emphasizing new energy technologies like photovoltaics (PV) and energy storage.
By attracting new energy enterprise headquarters and converging critical components such as domestic and international investments, technology, and talent pertinent to the new energy sector, the district is fostering a robust environment for industrial clustering.
