IWG Group, the world's largest provider of flexible workspace solutions, signed a cooperation agreement with South Hongqiao Group in the Minhang area of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District (CBD) on June 10.
Marc Descrozaille, CEO of IWG Group for the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, said that by leveraging its global office network and over 8 million customers, IWG Group aims to attract more multinational, unicorn, and top enterprises to Hongqiao's key sectors, including international trade, biomedicine, the digital economy and professional services.
Kong Fu'an, Party secretary and executive deputy director of the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District Administrative Committee, said that this collaboration is expected to attract more foreign-funded enterprises and international talent to Hongqiao.
He added that the district will provide comprehensive services for enterprise development, transforming office spaces from mere physical venues into ecological nodes that facilitate economic factor flow and spur innovation. This will allow the two sides to fully complement each other and reap the benefits of cooperation.
According to Kong, the Hongqiao International CBD has been seeing strong growth, with a continuous influx of businesses and talent, emerging as a prime investment destination for entrepreneurs in the Yangtze River Delta and across the country.
