Home appliances giant Midea Group opened its new global innovation park on July 21, in the Qingpu area of Hongqiao International Central Business District in Shanghai — marking a significant expansion of its research and development capabilities.
As a key part of Midea's global R&D network, the Shanghai Midea Global Innovation Park is set to collaborate with over 30 Midea R&D centers worldwide to fast-track the group's evolution into a global tech powerhouse.
The park employs nearly 2,000 R&D personnel — focusing on cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, new energy, new materials, robotics and medicine.
It aims to foster comprehensive product innovation through diverse R&D sectors — including AI, smart manufacturing, intelligent healthcare and smart logistics.
In the wake of the park's opening, Midea plans to attract top-tier talent across various technological fields from around the globe, aiming to establish itself as a leading global technology group.
