The Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District recently launched a service base to help Chinese medical device companies in Shanghai to expand internationally.
The initiative is a joint effort between the Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center and Wego Medical Park, all located in the CBD.

Under local government guidance, the new platform is providing comprehensive services across the entire supply chain, facilitating overseas expansion with zero barriers.
It will leverage the manufacturing strengths of the Yangtze River Delta, the comprehensive services of the Hongqiao CBD, medical device giant Wego's industrial resources and global market channels. This is expected to add new momentum to the international development of medical device companies in the Yangtze River Delta.
Yang Xubo, deputy director of the CBD's administrative committee, told those attending the launch that he expected the Hongqiao CBD to truly become the preferred hub for Chinese medical device companies going global.
The platform's services cover the entire lifecycle of a company's internationalization process. To aid in product internationalization, the platform focuses on five core areas: Market research and positioning, regulatory access and certification, overseas study and international exhibitions, channel development and sales, as well as capital collaboration.
Additionally, the platform offers services centered around the global supply chain layout, technological cooperation, mergers and acquisitions, capital and policy collaboration, localized operations and risk management — providing a clear roadmap for international expansion.
The base features five specialized services. The Product Display Center provides exhibition spaces to help companies reach clients; the Consultation Center offers guidance on policies and regulations; the Roadshow Center hosts events to boost cooperation; the Live Streaming Workshop enhances online presence with virtual production and live streaming; and the Shared Office Space offers flexible workstations and meeting areas to reduce costs.
