"Building a sustainable future requires all of us to work together," said Joakim Weidemanis, CEO of Johnson Controls, as he took part in the International Business Leaders' Advisory Council for the Mayor of Shanghai.

Weidemanis expressed his honor in contributing to Shanghai's development through innovative technologies and solutions used in landmark projects such as the Shanghai Tower and the Shanghai World Financial Center.

He highlighted the transition to sustainable development as a significant opportunity for the world. It serves as a force multiplier for increasing productivity, efficiency, and general health, and while strengthening the preservation of natural resources.

Weidemanis emphasized that smart policies accelerating transformative technologies are crucial in this transition, which relies on a shared vision and collective action.

Johnson Controls, with its Asia-Pacific headquarters located in the Hongqiao International Central Business District, is actively collaborating with companies across the Yangtze River Delta on research and development, production, and operations, aiming to create a greener tomorrow.

With its operations in China anchored in Shanghai, Johnson Controls is committed to enhancing public facilities, including hospitals, schools, and transportation systems, making them greener and smarter. "Our mission is to enable people to better cooperate, interact, and innovate," Weidemanis added.
