No matter if you're arriving by metro, bus, taxi, or car, reaching the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) for the 8th CIIE is convenient with various transportation choices. Refer to this guide for navigating Shanghai during the event.

By metro

The Shanghai Metro offers a flexible and cost-effective way to get around. Stations are equipped with POS machines that accept major international bank cards, and you can also easily "tap and ride" using your bank card.

Metro Line 2 connects Shanghai Pudong International Airport to the NECC station, while Line 17 links Hongqiao Railway Station to the venue. Refer to the Shanghai Rail Transit Network Map below for additional details.

If you arrive at Hongqiao International Airport, you can take metro Line 10 to Hongqiao Railway Station, and then transfer to Line 17 for NECC station.

By bus

Bus No 71, a dedicated bus service for the CIIE, will take you to Parking Lot P5 near the NECC, providing a fast, eco-friendly travel option from downtown Shanghai to the expo venue.

During the expo, free rides will be provided by this route for those with valid expo credentials.

By taxi

Getting a taxi at the CIIE is designed to be easy and efficient, with thousands of taxis ready to serve you.

You will find convenient "stop-and-drop" points for taxis near the NECC venue, along with a taxi pick-up point at P6 and a secondary holding area at P20.

Plus, a fleet of 3,000 pure electric taxis will operate around the clock. This eco-friendly fleet guarantees all exhibitors and visitors a comfortable and dependable transportation option during the event.

Chartered bus

Four dedicated hotel shuttle bus routes will operate, offering convenient links from 47 designated hotels.

Using the "Suishenxing" app, you can view routes, purchase tickets, and make payments. The mini-program offers real-time updates such as bus locations and stop details.

In response to post-event passenger flow, the shuttle service has been optimized with extended operating hours and increased frequency across all routes during peak departure times.

By car: Parking info

There are 24 temporary parking zones around the CIIE venue, offering about 960 bus spaces and 4,000 parking spots for cars.

Furthermore, shared parking facilities in the Hongqiao International Central Business District provide backup, with around 4,000 spaces available on weekdays and around 7,000 on weekends.

A same-day booking service is offered at all reserved parking lots. Drivers can easily reserve a parking space up to one hour before arriving, providing a smoother and more predictable experience.
