Following the successful eighth China International Import Expo (CIIE), a new event called the CIIE U-Fair, a mini version of CIIE, is set to take place from Dec 19 to 21 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.
The event was designed to sustain the positive effects of the CIIE by boosting imports, encouraging consumer spending, and catering to the rising demand for high-quality lifestyles. By extending the reach of the CIIE, the U-Fair hopes to introduce more homes to premium international products.
Announced on Nov 9 during the recent CIIE, the U-Fair will include well-known companies such as L'Oreal, Samsung, Bailian Group, and Orient International. These companies will present their latest products, including some that were first shown at the CIIE.
The fair will feature more than just product displays, including dedicated zones for traditional brands and cultural heritage, as well as activities like supply-demand matchmaking, cultural performances, food tastings, and tourism promotions. This combination of commerce, culture, and tourism aims to offer an engaging experience for visitors.
Designed for everyday consumers, the U-Fair will focus on direct sales. Attendees can purchase products on-site, place orders for future delivery, or order online and pick up in person, offering flexibility and convenience.
