A "UNI-8" Legal Service Station was launched at the Hongqiao Overseas Development Service Center in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District on Jan 27.
A collaboration between Hongqiao CBD's administrative committee and the First Branch of the Shanghai People's Procuratorate, this new service aims to support companies going global.
"UNI-8" is a joint effort by the First Branch and seven district-level procuratorates in Shanghai. It aims to develop legal expertise to ensure a law-based business environment for international ventures.
Chen Siqun, chief prosecutor of the First Branch, emphasized that the Hongqiao area is key to regional integration and international openness. The new service station will use a team-based approach to meet the legal needs of local businesses.
Kong Fu'an, executive deputy director of Hongqiao CBD's administrative committee, said their collaboration strengthens legal governance and provides businesses with a tailored "legal service package". The goal is to safeguard businesses during their international operations.
The UNI-8 Service Station in Hongqiao will offer services twice a month, including:
-Legal Advice: Assistance with corporate compliance, intellectual property, and other legal matters.
-Risk Prevention: Identify and address potential risks in business operations.
-Supervision: Investigate and address legal issues affecting businesses.
-Legal Education: Provide legal guidance and host events to educate companies.
