Travelers from Hangzhou East or Ningbo high-speed rail stations can now enjoy a smoother trip to Shanghai's airports.
Thanks to China Eastern Airlines and the Shanghai Railway Bureau, passengers can check in and drop off their luggage at these rail stations, then pick up their bags directly at their flight destination.
This new air-rail link service simplifies travel by using a "digital terminal" system.
Staff can quickly check in passengers and print boarding passes and luggage tags using only a phone and portable printers. This means travelers can start their journey light from the rail station itself.

The service will soon launch at key high-speed rail stations in Suzhou, Kunshan, Jiaxing, and other cities across the Yangtze River Delta region, just in time for the busy Spring Festival travel season.
Passengers can book this service through the China Eastern Airlines app or the WeChat mini-program, making travel easier and more convenient.
