A 10-kilometer race took place on Nov 12 in Xinhong sub-district, located in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District, with nearly 200 people from cities in the Yangtze River Delta region taking part.
The racetrack runs along the Beihengjing River and had a supply depot every 2.5 km to offer runners food and water.

The race allowed participants to admire the pleasant living environment, convenient transportation, rich entertainment resources and booming economy, so as to attract more people and companies to Hongqiao, said the organizer.
Xinhong literally means new rainbow, while Hongqiao literally means rainbow bridge.
In recent years, Xinhong sub-district has utilized its natural resources to host a series of sports events. It is committed to enhancing Hongqiao CBD's soft power and building a sports industry service chain that bridges Hongqiao, the YRD region, and the entire world.
