A former track and field athlete named Yang Guo won the competition. Yang was a member of Team China in the Paralympic Games and will soon work in a coffee shop. The third place winner Xiaobai, who is visually impaired, was a volunteer at a cafe at the venue of the fifth China International Import Expo.

Wang Tian, the founder of Hinichijou Cafe, which was the organizer of the competition, said the event will bolster participants' confidence in starting a career.

According to the event organizers, more than 20 baristas with disabilities have graduated from the training base located in the Hongqiao International Coffee Harbor and are about to begin their careers as baristas.
