The Minhang area of Shanghai's Hongqiao International Central Business District (South Hongqiao) is rapidly becoming a hub for headquarters enterprises.
In the first 10 months of 2024, the area welcomed 21 new headquarters, bringing its total number to 271.
South Hongqiao is a pivotal gateway linking Shanghai with other cities in the Yangtze River Delta and the global market, boasting outstanding location advantages and efficient resource integration capabilities.
Li Auto, an electric vehicle manufacturer, established its headquarters in the area in August. The new hub will bridge Li Auto's Beijing headquarters and Changzhou base, furthering technological innovation. This year marks the first time Li Auto has elevated campus recruitment to a strategic level. The new hub will leverage Hongqiao's location and Shanghai's talent pool to attract top graduates from across the country and the world.
In September, CARIAD, a subsidiary of Volkswagen, established its presence in South Hongqiao. The new project will serve as a new hub for CARIAD's global software technology R&D and a landmark for technological innovation.
In November, PCG Power's Navi Energy Technology, a pioneer in the micro-distributed energy market, also set up operations. It focuses on solving industry challenges like small capacity and financing difficulties. The new headquarters will coordinate PCG Power's operations nationwide.
