Chinese automaker Chery has launched pre-sales for its latest model, the Chery Exeed Exlantix Extended Range AWD version, which boasts an advanced intelligent driving system developed by Bosch China. The model recently underwent a successful end-to-end intelligent driving test in Guangzhou.
Based in the Hongqiao International CBD, Bosch China dedicated 18 months to crafting this sophisticated intelligent driving solution. The system provides top-tier driving assistance for various scenarios including highways, urban navigation, and residential parking.
During a rainy test drive in October, Stefan Hartung, chairman of Bosch Group, personally experienced the capabilities of the system. Navigating through challenging conditions like traffic lights, U-turns, and high-curvature ramps, Hartung praised the system's evolution from relying on high-precision maps to achieving these functions with just navigation maps.
Bosch is committed to advancing map-free Navigation on Autopilot (NOA) and aims to have initial coverage in 20 cities, including Shanghai and Beijing, by mid-2025.
Since securing the Chery Exeed Exlantix project in late 2022, Bosch has collaborated with Chinese self-driving car company WeRide and Chinese internet giant Tencent to develop the solution. Tencent's cloud services have set a new standard in data compliance and development efficiency. In a move to enhance intelligent mobility, Bosch and Tencent renewed their strategic cooperation agreement in November, focusing on sectors like autonomous driving maps and intelligent cockpits.
