The Shanghai Foreign Investment Association (SHFIA) established its MNC Regional Headquarters ESG Branch in the Hongqiao International Central Business District (CBD) on Dec 5.
The new branch aims to enhance communication among global ESG (environmental, social, and governance) institutions and provide training to boost the international competitiveness of enterprises. SHFIA President Huang Feng awarded appointment letters to the branch's leadership team, with Zhu Jiangliu, vice-president of Corporate Affairs at Budweiser China, appointed as president.
Zhu emphasized the branch's role in working with the government on ESG standards, promoting best practices, and fostering cooperation with international ESG organizations. The branch will also serve as a platform for sharing knowledge and empowering enterprises to achieve sustainable competitiveness in China.
Founded in 1988, SHFIA is a non-profit organization that promotes foreign investment policies and provides professional services to its members, facilitating communication between members and the government.
