Samyang Foods, South Korea's oldest instant noodle company, was recently honored with the "Most Promising Enterprise" award at the South Hongqiao Enterprise Commendation Conference for its robust growth in the Chinese market.
China is now Samyang Foods' most important overseas market, accounting for 35 percent of its overseas sales. In 2021, Samyang Foods Shanghai was established in Shanghai's South Hongqiao area.
Samyang Foods' success is largely driven by its flagship product, Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen. Launched in South Korea in 2012, this spicy noodle dish quickly became popular and expanded globally. In China, it has performed exceptionally well, with sales increasing by 30 percent year-on-year as of October 2024 and cumulative sales surpassing 300 million units.

The successful Hot Chicken Sauce series has further expanded the company's product range.
Online, Samyang Foods' social media accounts boast over 1.12 million followers, with significant fan interaction. Offline, collaborations with convenience stores like Lawson and FamilyMart have deepened their presence in the lives of young consumers.
