To foster cultural exchange and help international talent feel more at home, the Hongqiao International Talents Service Center recently hosted a Chinese intangible cultural heritage experience event.
Over 20 international students from countries including Sierra Leone, Syria, and Botswana participated.
The event began with a tour of the Hongqiao International Talents Service Center, which showcased the one-stop services it offers. Renowned comedian Pi Ka Chun performed an English stand-up comedy act, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.
Participants then engaged in hands-on activities highlighting China's intangible cultural heritage. Guided by skilled artisans, they created "June Snow" bonsai, crafted lacquered pendants, and wove bamboo wind chimes. These activities offered a deep dive into China's rich cultural heritage.
The hands-on experience fostered a deeper appreciation for traditional Chinese culture among the expatriates, many of whom expressed that these heritage items showcased China's rich history.
The event concluded with an interactive session and a group photo. Attendees expressed gratitude to the Hongqiao International Talent Service Center for helping them integrate into the local community and providing a platform to connect with friends from around the world.
The Hongqiao International Talent Service Center plans to continue organizing diverse cultural exchange activities, seeking to help international talent forge connections.
