As the 2025 F1 Chinese Grand Prix approaches, the Shanghai Hongqiao Immigration Inspection Station is streamlining entry processes for arriving F1 teams. By leveraging advanced technology, the station is enhancing border control to support international sports events in Shanghai.
To improve entry efficiency, Hongqiao Immigration has introduced smart border control equipment at the business jet terminal, including self-service entry card printing terminals. This innovation significantly reduces form completion times.
The station has coordinated with airlines and event organizers to implement a "dedicated channel + guided service" model, ensuring quick and efficient passage for team members and staff.
"Now we can scan our passports at the self-service terminal, and the card prints out in seconds. It's both fast and accurate," commented an F1 team member.
In addition to efficient entry services, Hongqiao's "Feihong" special duty team offers multilingual support to ensure smooth communication for foreign nationals.
Given the large volume of equipment and luggage, the team collaborates closely with event support units to provide comprehensive one-stop services, ensuring smooth entry for both personnel and equipment.
The F1 Chinese Grand Prix is not only exciting racing fans but also enhancing Shanghai's international profile and supporting cultural tourism and business development. Hongqiao Immigration aims to showcase Shanghai's efficiency and hospitality through smarter, more convenient border services.
Looking ahead, Hongqiao Immigration plans to continue enhancing smart border infrastructure and refining procedures to provide efficient, secure, and convenient services for international events.
