The Shanghai International NCC & E-sports Center, one of the largest investments in the global e-sports industry, is making significant construction progress, with its LOOP Star Ring Center now opening its doors.
Located in the Qianwan area of the Hongqiao International Central Business District, the LOOP Star Ring Center is poised to become an important platform amid Shanghai's efforts to become a global e-sports hub by propelling the internationalization and commercialization of e-sports in the city.
With a top-tier design and facilities, the venue is set to host a series of e-sports events in the coming months, including the Fifth Yangtze River Delta Sports Festival E-sports Competition in June, CS GO XPL 2025 in July, and the Shanghai University E-sports Invitational in October.
In addition to hosting competitions, the center will serve as a venue for e-sports industry forums, fan meet-and-greets, and anime conventions. It also plans to foster a vibrant community with attractions such as a gaming-themed cultural museum, VR gaming spaces, and themed dining and retail outlets.
The center aims to become a globally renowned landmark for e-sports and anime and a hotspot among social media influencers.
Zhang Yong, one of the project managers, emphasized the center's potential for exploring new paths for the global e-sports industry by participating in global e-sports partnership programs, incubating enterprises with high-quality, cost-effective operational spaces, and attracting professionals with supportive policies.
