The 91st China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) kicked off on April 8 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, showcasing disruptive technologies from industry giants. The fair will run until April 11.
Known as a global barometer for the medical industry, the fair features nearly 5,000 companies from over 30 countries and spans over 320,000 square meters. It showcases tens of thousands of cutting-edge products and solutions across 22 themed areas, including medical imaging, in vitro diagnostics, and hospital construction.
During the four-day event, nearly 100 forums and meetings will be held, with about 1,000 experts discussing key topics such as AI initiatives, advanced manufacturing, digitalization, and the global expansion of China's medical device market.

One standout feature of this year's fair is the Medical Robotics Zone, where innovations like the world's first orthopedic intelligent surgical robot with deep learning AI and micro-spine surgical robots are on display.
Major companies such as United Imaging, GE, Siemens, and Philips are presenting technologies like AI in healthcare, gene sequencing, cancer screening, and 3D bioprinting.

In response to the booming global pet economy, CMEF launched the AHC International Pet Health Exhibition. The exhibition features innovative pet medical products, including pet-specific CT scanners and handheld therapeutic lasers, highlighting the trend towards smarter, more personalized pet healthcare solutions.
Additionally, the event will unveil the first phase of the China Medical Device Innovation Research White Paper, providing insights into the industry's technological innovations and challenges.
