Fudan University inaugurated its Global Sci-Tech Innovation Center for Alumni in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District on June 21, marking a significant step forward in fostering innovation and collaboration among its extensive alumni network.
The center is designed to facilitate deep connections between Fudan alumni worldwide and their alma mater, as well as local development initiatives. It is poised to become a vibrant hub for technological advancement and entrepreneurial activity.
The center features areas dedicated to roadshows, small and medium-sized meetings, sci-tech scene displays, and incubation, catering to a wide range of needs including guest reception, alumni networking, and startup team operations.
By leveraging its proximity to the Hongqiao transportation hub, the center aims to serve as a dynamic meeting place for Fudan alumni globally. It plans to host a variety of sci-tech roadshows and salon events, creating a model for technology transfer and establishing an ecosystem that supports alumni innovation and entrepreneurship.
The inauguration ceremony also saw the unveiling of the Fudan University National University Science Park (Qingpu Innovation Center). The dual platforms are set to explore new paradigms for university-local collaboration in innovation.
