The Licensing Expo China 2025 opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai on July 16, showcasing the intellectual property of over 1,800 top anime and cultural IP.

This year's event covers an expansive 50,000 square meters and hosts over 400 exhibitors, including major names like Warner Bros, Tencent Video and Bilibili.

The bustling halls are filled with industry professionals, young tourists and anime enthusiasts, all eager to explore the offerings.

A major highlight is IP of Meng Lan, a panda from Beijing Zoo, whose overhead heart-shaped gesture makes it even more adorable. This charming panda has attracted significant attention, with its image integrated into products like beverages and apparel, showcasing innovative cultural promotion.

In addition to anime, the expo is featuring cultural IP from the Palace Museum, A Bite of China and Dunhuang — adding traditional elements to the diverse IP landscape.

The event not only celebrates popular culture, but also fosters business opportunities and collaborations in the global licensing industry.
