German multinational and leader in high-tech facilities Exyte GmbH says it's made significant strides in the Chinese market — establishing itself as a key player in the semiconductors, new energy and biomedicine sectors.
With its regional headquarters located in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District, the group has completed over 400 projects across China, driven by the booming demand for high-tech facilities.
In semiconductors, Exyte creates optimal environments for chip production, building major wafer manufacturing and assembly facilities.
In the new energy sector, Exyte contributed to China's battery giant CATL's battery plant in the state of Thuringia in Germany, which is CATL's first overseas facility.
For life sciences, Exyte built the ExyCell® biopharmaceutical lab in Shanghai — speeding up drug and vaccine supply times to market with a rapid 12-week manufacturing-to-validation timeline.
Moreover, China has become a key market and a source of inspiration for Exyte, employing about 1,100 people locally. Led by experts like process architect and design leader Mark Stephens, the team uses tools such as 3D printing to enhance safety and efficiency.
"Exyte's achievements in China are thanks to our dedicated employees and partners. We look forward to growing with the Chinese market in the next decade," said Michael Topp, an executive at Exyte in Shanghai.
Topp, who has lived and worked in Shanghai for several years, praised Shanghai for being a vibrant city that is full of opportunities.
"It offers an open and inclusive environment, convenient and comfortable living conditions, efficient transportation and a rich variety of cultural and sports activities," he said.
