Norwegian krill oil brand NYO3 recently opened its first store in Shanghai at the Greenland Global Commodity Trading Hub in the Hongqiao International Central Business District.
A seven-time participant in the annual China International Import Expo or CIIE, NYO3 has become the top-selling krill oil brand on Chinese e-commerce platforms, serving over 10 million Chinese families annually.
The store is located in the Norway Pavilion, where Norwegian companies bring their CIIE exhibits to Chinese consumers.
It aims to strengthen NYO3's presence in China by leveraging CIIE's spillover effect and integrating Nordic scientific advancements with Chinese consumer needs — enhancing NYO3's local operations and supporting its global strategy.
At the opening ceremony, NYO3 introduced its new "Anti-Aging Trio" products, developed with Nordic anti-aging institution NO-AGE.
Markus Laurantzon, a diplomat at the Norwegian Embassy in Beijing, noted the cultural significance of marine products to Norwegians — emphasizing his country's commitment to sustainable development and high-quality standards. NYO3 is said to exemplify this by offering premium health products globally.
NYO3 has expanded to over 300 channels in 21 countries. In China, it is available on major platforms like Tmall and JD.com and in over 200 stores in Hong Kong and Macao.
The brand was named "Nordic Leading Anti-Aging Brand" in 2024 and achieved "Global Krill Oil Sales Leader" status for two consecutive years by 2025.
