A new eco-friendly landmark is taking shape in the Hongqiao International Central Business District in Shanghai as SUS Environment, a powerhouse in waste management and environmental services, nears completion of its global headquarters.
The 76,000-square-meter facility features a green design and aims to boost research into waste-to-energy and zero-carbon technologies.
Project Chief Engineer Yuan Gujiong said that the structural work was completed earlier this year, with interior renovations set to be finished by December. The project is on track for completion by the end of 2025.
Located near major transport links and next to Anta's global retail headquarters, the building will be a key player in the green industry. Its striking glass facade is already a visual highlight, designed to meet top environmental and health standards.
The headquarters will include an exhibition hall displaying China's advancements in solid waste disposal and a central control room that manages nearly 90 low-carbon industrial parks worldwide.
It will serve as both the operational core for SUS Environment and as premium office space for related businesses — highlighting SUS Environment's commitment to tackling global climate challenges through advanced waste disposal technologies.
