Hongqiao 365, or the Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition and Trade Center, has rapidly become a prime destination for fans of ACGN (animation, comics, games and novels) in Shanghai.
It's hosted a dozen major ACGN events so far this year, making it a key gathering spot for enthusiasts.
Conveniently located near the Hongqiao transportation hub, it offers easy access and its Hongqiao International Coffee Harbor also serves as a chilled retreat for attendees.
Recently, the Shanghai Slash Only exhibition returned for its second year, drawing big crowds. As the only fan convention in Shanghai focused on Western works, it attracted anime lovers from across the nation, highlighting Hongqiao 365's growing reputation as a diverse cultural hub.
The exhibition was a celebration of shared passions. Vendors eagerly registered and fans traveled from afar, finding a welcoming community.
At the stand for cosplay props repairs specialist Chouke, cosplayers gathered as he skillfully reinforced the props. "I don't charge for repairs at conventions," he said. "It's about connecting with people who love this community."
The Hongqiao International Coffee Harbor was transformed by the event's energy. Cosplayers filled the space, arranging costumes and discussing tips over coffee.
The lively atmosphere turned the commercial area into a vibrant hub of creativity. Several coffee shops offered themed menus, boosting sales and enhancing the experience. Fans humorously dubbed it "Shanghai's highest concentration of ACGN culture within a coffee zone."
"Hongqiao 365's facilities are a perfect match for Slash Only," said the event organizer. "We aim to make this a permanent home, establishing a new landmark for Western anime culture in Shanghai," he added.
