Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station has launched a pilot indoor navigation service for the upcoming National Day holiday.
It's providing real-time guidance on the metro, buses, taxis, ride-hailing pick-up points, parking areas, and the key station amenities.
Developed under the city's Mobility-as-a-Service or SH MaaS platform, the system integrates its six key transport modes — the metro, buses, taxis, ride-hailing, parking and long-distance coaches.
It offers four core functions: one-click navigation, parking spot marking, real-time location sharing and one-click searches.

Travelers can use the service via the SH MaaS app or WeChat Mini Program. First-time users must enable Bluetooth, microphone and location permissions and the app requires version V2.00.74 or above.
The system provides optimal routes to exits, metro or bus stations, as well as taxi or ride-hailing points, along with live schedules and queue updates. Drivers can mark parking spots for quick retrieval and groups can share real-time locations with up to five users.
For those without a mobile device, six high-definition screens at four taxi pick-up points and at the P9 and P10 parking entrances clearly display queue times and station maps for easy reference for all passengers.
