Shanghai's LOOP Star Ring Center recently launched the International Cultural Town project, designed to attract young people from around the world with a mix of cultural brands, digital experiences, and immersive environments.
Located in the Qianwan area of the Hongqiao International Central Business District, the project aims to become a global cultural hotspot and urban lifestyle destination. It seeks to bring together Chinese and international cultures, creating a vibrant space for youth and digital innovation.
With 13 international communities and nearly 10,000 expatriates, Hongqiao's Qianwan area is naturally suited to this international venture. The project plans to use this diverse community as a foundation for creating engaging content and will introduce globally recognized youth cultural events like the Champion Show.

In partnership with South Korea's MBC TV, the project will feature three main attractions: the Chinese version of MBC's popular Champion Show, the outdoor street dance event Star Ring Dance, and the first Seongsu-dong Themed Pop-up Shop in Shanghai.
Together, they offer a seamless experience of "watching shows, dancing, shopping, and interacting", allowing visitors and locals to enjoy Korean culture, dance, digital interaction, and trendy retail all in one place.
The Star Ring International Cultural Town is not just a cultural venue but also a digital innovation hub. It explores how digital tools can enhance traditional cultural and commercial activities, aiming to transform local events into global online experiences.
